OnDemand Deployment

Deployment of the WebIvy Platform solution is what makes WebIvy such a simple solution.  There is NO INTEGRATION.  WebIvy is an OnDemand Solution that hosts the base code to a client's presentation layer in the Cloud.  The presentation layer of a legacy site is merely moved to another DNS and linked via the WebIvy Web Service.  For new sites, there is no set up, just start using the Platform and go!

The following steps are part of the OnDemand Deployment process:

1.  Legacy Assessment
2.  Site Migration
3.  Web Service
4.  Attachment
5.  Reinforcement

Legacy Assessment - Upon engagement with each WebIvy Client, an assessment is performed of the legacy web site prior to covering a site in Ivy.  Within 24 to 48, a full diagnostics of the legacy site is performed.  A Client Service Manager then contacts the client for follow-up to verify the diagnostics in order to move forward with the Site Migration.  During this phase, 3rd party vendor APIs may be identified for WebIvy to plug-into the platform for the WebIvy site or special 301 re-direct business rules may be provided by the client.

Site Migration - WebIvy will move a Legacy site onto the WebIvy platform.  This process will take a few hours to a few days.  We call this "Covering a Site in Ivy".  WebIvy has built proprietary automation tools to make the migration more seemless.

Web Service - This is the process of providing WebIvy the business data for the Platform to utilize in design of the web pages.  The client will build a web service but WebIvy provides documentation, samples and client support.

Attachment - After the web service and site migration is complete, Web Ivy will validate the web service against the WebIvy web site.

Reinforcement - WebIvy Solutions will consult with the WebIvy client to verify that they are satisfied witht the WebIvy site.  In addition, WebIvy Solutions will once again review the WebIvy Platform to make sure the Client understands the Platform and knows where the OnDemand Training, Documentation, Release Notes and Client Service contanct information can be found.

The entire process to "Cover a Web Site in Ivy" can take anywhere from  a few days to 30 days depending on two factors
1.  Total site pages
2.  Complexity of WebIvy Client business data.

Overall, this process and timeline, 30 days or less is MUCH less than an integration of a Web Content Management System and Web Development Platform for a Client.  And, now, your Marketing team has control!
